R.I.P David Bowie
« on: January 11, 2016, 08:34:46 AM »
David Bowie died today age 69 after battling cancer.
While I did not know him and his works well, I was impressed by the quality of his singing Comfortably Numb together with David Gilmour on the Remember that Night DVD...

A sad loss of a true talent.  There aren't many artists that have songs that really capture me in any serious way but Bowie had a number of releases that made me put everything down and listen.

I have a few pictures from 6th January 1973 at the Empire Theatre, Edinburgh.

The legends are getting fewer and fewer.

Really liked his and Jagger's "Prancing in the street"... sorry "Dancing..."  ;D

I was quite shocked by the news this morning, as I read recently that he had a new album come out that was well liked.

RIP.
