Which song?
« on: November 30, 2015, 10:54:00 AM »
Hey guys,
I came across this picture of Mark and Hal. And I saw these guitars and I was wondering, what song were they playing? Mark is playing his tele. And Hal is playing a white strat, his own maybe?
Does anybody knows more about this?

Thanks!

Edit: the white strat is a Fender Stratocaster 1959 and is indeed from Hal

Wasn't it MK on a tele and Hal on his strat in Two Young Lovers?

the only song Mark played on his sunburst Tele in 80-81 was PORTOBELLO BELLE
http://ds.mk-guitar.com/songlist.htm

The song was also played on a Rickenbaker :

the only one video that exists (to my knowledge) with this guitar in 80-81. around 3:15 :

Indeed Mark played TYL on the black schecter tele in 86 (e.g. Sydney), but in 83 he played it on a white SG (e.g. Alchemy) and Hal played a guitar looking like a Yamaha, not sure, and I don't know the model

the picture above is from the On Location tour (80-81) and TYL wasn't yet composed and performed

another clue is that Mark i using a capo on the tele, and TYL has no capo, while Portobelleo Belle could have one, depending on the tuning
