Hello Everybody,

As I was watching some vids on YouTube, the other evening, I found a Prince's Trust concert in December 1993 with Simply Red that I really appreciate very much and what was my surprise and I first wasn't sure it was him, I had to see his name at the end,is that one of the guitarists playing with them was indeed Phil Palmer!! Does somebody know about it or is it news to you as well??? He was the only member of DS present this year!! It seems to me a rather interesting discovery!!!  8)
Then I saw a couple of concerts Live of Mick Hucknall and his famous Band from their last Tour in 2010 which were all really fantastic but I wonder if there are also Fans complaining on their Forum because he had almost the very same setlist during this Final Tour??!!! ???
Last thing about Simply Red is that I find their Japaneese Guitarist Kenji Suzuki remarquable!!! He obviously lives in London now but born in Japan... Somebody knows something more about him?? :wave
I intend to buy their new CD ''Big Love" celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Band but don't know yet if I'll go to the Zenith in October!!

Thanks for the info, it was indeed news to me.  He's done his rounds has Phil!  Interestingly it has on his Wikipedia page that he has played with David Knopfler.

Although DS officially ended in 1993 due to the release of OTN most likely, I have always thought of the demise as being October 1992 when the OES tour ended.

yes agree. the band ended when the tour ended. You can't count the later releases, otherwise you should count Live at the BBC then

Well nice to read that it was news for you Dmg. I don't think Phil Palmer was there as a DS member because they wrote at the end of the concert PP guitarist and only that!! I try to post the last song of the concert later this evening from the PC.
