My first post here, I'll take time to introduce properly at some point, if there's a thread for it.
I have hazy memories a very inspired solo mark played during Water of Love in Béziers in 1996 but unfortunatly I never heard it again, so it may not be as good as I remember it. Has anyone ever heard of a recording of that show? I sure would love to be able to listen to it!
Welcome to the best MK forum, Pimo! I wasn't able to locate the version you have heard, but if you heard it somewhere and not live, then it exists and it will surface eventually. Take a look here for recordings from that tour:

but the solos are very small, although superb. And the fact that he plays Water of love in this whole tour with his Gibson Les Paul and not his National steel is a very nice surprise, which by the way brings this song closer to the mood of the GH album. This one is a bit better played, but the audience is heard too loud and spoils it somehow.
Last but not least, this comes from the wonderful TNH live at the Snape. (One of my favorite lives. I wish it would be made available officially with fixed sound. It contains my all time favorite version of I think I love you too much) The particular version slightly suffers from the sound of the guitar imitation, since he recreates the national steel sound with his pensa. But it is a very nice version, and the solo is very smooth. I guess the GH tour versions are much after this, since they are different but not so much in mood, as in the lead guitar sound.
