Which concert is this? Who are the Musos?
« on: March 09, 2015, 08:26:59 PM »
Sorry, I'm completely lost. I think I saw this video a long time ago, but i can't recall which concert it is? Which opportunitiy? Who are the Musos? Where and when is it? Why didn't he play with the usual musos? I'm sure it's an easy question for you, guys. I've already tried to find a thread about it, but was not successful.

I think its the Ondas Awards in Tivoli Theatre, Barcelona 1995 when MK got an Ondas Awards for his musical career and played Imelda and Golden HEart for the first time, with Brendan Croker on guitar, I think that it was Marcus Cliffe on bass, Guy on keys and cant remember the drummer, as I can´t see the video, it says something in German, but I saw a little snapshot at the right of the screen, so I guess its that

I was not aware that he played those two songs before the official release?
It was all playback, wasn't it?

In those years (1993 - 1996) I had NO connection to anything MK related - I was listening the old stuff, yes, the live recordings of Basel, Nimes and so on.. but I did not expect him to turn up ever again. No hopes, it was just, well, Dire Straits is done and maybe we will get another of those soundtracks one day. I was not aware of this Dire Straits Information Service or what it was called. In early 1996, a radio dj mentioned that MK will do a new album, even then I thought, rumours, rumours, I don't believe that.

So therefore you can see how big the surprise is that he already played two new songs in 1995. Jbaent, did you know then that an album would follow?
