I know that WoL is the least favourite MK song to many of you. And I also suspect that this was discussed before, but here it goes.
I just've watchd the original UK video for the song. It's a silly video, just like "Skateaway" and R&J's, but I am mazed because it was a discovering for me, 30 years after!

Honestly:

I have never seen (and did know anything about) this! Great find! You learn something new every day!
Hard to believe that the same band that came up with the coolest video clip of the 80's should have been connected with this very bad video clip!
The same bunch of strange behaving (and looking) people as in the Making Movies clips..

The other, "official" video I like very much by the way. Mark comes across very friendly in that one and the red Schecter looks so great in that clip!

Jack led the way in the fashion stakes though.  Those were the uber cool Live Aid sunglasses in that clip. 

The only man who could say to Mark "that's not a headband, this is a headband!"

I love this video.  Sure, it's a little funky, but it's original, and more suited to the song than the US version. (And I like that one too.)  It's a satiric commentary of the different people who pass by the kid playing the music--down to the well-dressed businessman who spears a paper bill with his umbrella

I love the song too.   It's happy and upbeat. And I taught my dog to dance with it.   

Thanks for posting the link.   I haven't seen the video in a long time.  Nice to return to happy memories.

No, the one from "Dire Straits The Videos" is with film from a baseball match.   I have seen this one before though, but can't remember where.

In Israel they played the Sultan's Pool (appropriately enough) which is an outdoor gig so could be.

No, the one from "Dire Straits The Videos" is with film from a baseball match.   I have seen this one before though, but can't remember where.   

Definitely it's sourced from the Israel doc (WOL starts at 13'20")
