Well, I checked it out, also has SL and from the DS years LoG and BiA. Jbaent says it is obvious that its not official but It looks authorized, even though I am not that certain. Anyway, it is a bit weird to go on and make these "sculptures" as they call it, with the option to customize, if they are not authorized. The photos and artwork they use is copyrighted and they can get in trouble. Anyway, I can melt my LoG quiex II edition and make a totally unique work of art, 1 copy only, that I would probably have to through away, except if I find somebody to sell it to.
Man, the end of the introductory text says it all. Goes something like:"Our job is aimed to passionate lovers of music and artworks. We create items that are built to last in time and increase in value."
Sounds like art stock market, and I hate stock market and go berserk when they put art in the same sentence. I guess if they really sold them in more reasonable prices, like 50 -100 Euros, they might have attracted more than wealthy fans, wealthy friends of the fans that are obligated to give expensive gifts to fans and the real vultures, the ones that buy whatever is or considered collectible, in order to sell it later to the real fans, raising the price taking advantage of the desire.
The snag is that they create the item upon request, so the only loss they have if they are authorized is the permit license fee they had to pay to the artist-record company.
But maybe I am way too hard, some of the items are fine looking, and these are hard times and people try to make a decent living.
Hey, how come AMIT, hasn't created such an item for AMIT members only? Maybe we can all chip in and with the help of Guy create such an artifact. I think an italian fan club had done this back in the 80ies, issued a Solid rock 7'' single from Alchemy. The collector in me is awake, don't mind him...
