Not exactly. Guy Pratt says in his book that Ferry gave him lots of tape parts to play bass over them and he says that they were literally pieces of tape pasted between them with several people playing and he had many pieces of Knopfler, many pieces of Gilmour, a nightmare...

I always had a kind of feeling that Mark's liks were used in Don't Stop The Dance, but everybody, including Guy, tells it wasn't. How can they say it since it was a mess even back then?
