There is an interview with him in the soundz magazine, it is in Dutch but I will try to translate the most interesting parts. Some nice info in it actually, not all standard stuff
Now that's teasing! Do you think it is a new one?
LE
It sure is a new one! The interviewer talks about going to British Grove, there is some info in the interview about albums he made before, about the studio. Mark tells about that The Who is recording, and Eric Clapton in a while. Then the interviewer asks some questions about the album. He asks MK about laughs and jokes. Mark then tells that Ian Thomas came up with the idea of doing a Dave Brubeck like intro. So it sounds(the intro) like Take Five (which he tells) and says that Dave Brubeck is an hero. So he says they 'put you on the wrong leg' if I translate it literally from dutch to english. He also tells about Skydiver. He tells that the song is about people, normal people or about a fighter pilot who drops bombs, and still has a normal life. 'Dive Bomber in the 2.15' he sings. He tells about a fighter pilot who has to drop his bombs from 2.15 km. River Towns refers to the mississipi.
That are the most interesting parts for Tracker, maybe someone can translate the complete interview? I'm afraid I don't have time for it the forthcoming weeks haha! When I have time I maybe can translate some more parts, but this is it for Tracker. The rest of the info is already here.
