Not to keen about a saxophone in that song River Towns - a song I have very high expectations for... (I guess I will be disappointed in the end automatically  ;D) - not a friend of saxophone in MK's music in general - apart from Two Young Lovers.. All those little information pieces here and there let my expections rise a lot

My expectations have changed after reading them:
It seems the early Straits sound of Beryl is just a singular thing and not representative of the whole album.

It seems the early Straits sound of Beryl is just a singular thing and not representative of the whole album.

Funny as I already expected that BEryl sound would be an island in the record, specially when you think that "the band" of the recordings was John McCusker, Mike McGoldrick, Phil Cunningham and Bruce Molski...

And I forgot that someone on this forum had an after-gig chat with Mike McG who said that Tracker sounded not that different to Privateering.

And maybe Mike just heard the songs in which he got to play, that could be, lets say, the 75% of the record?
