From Guy's Forum:

Q   -  Very cool tune, but thank God that's not the official release. That means you still have time to get rid of those annoying keyboards, that sounds like a bee trapped in an empty coke can.

Guy   -  It's called a Vox Continental. I'm glad you like it as it's all over the rest of the album, quite heavily featured (since I mixed it!)

Quite offending question on Guy's forum and I think his answer has the right sarcasm in it. However, I really hope it is only sarcasm and Guy is not true about what he says! Can't stand that sound either!  :D :D

Our fellow Dennis Brower sent to Spanish City facebook a pdf with a list of songs from an ACE search with some titles that could be from new songs, in alphabetic order:

38 Special

Basil

Beryl

Broken bones

Heart of oak

Hot dog

Laughs and jokes and drinks and smokes

Lights of Taormina

Long cool girl

Mighty man

My heart has never changed

Oklahoma ponies

River towns

Silver eagle

Skydiver

Terminal of tribute to

Time will end all sorrow

Wherever I go

Some titles might be from Privateering or Get Lucky, as it lists everything that has been registered, in the list there are also songs like "Never met a one like you" that we know Hot Rize recorded or "The older surfest of the beach" that we know Jimmy Buffett recorded or other songs from film scores etc etc etc that I didnt listed here, just the suspects of being "Tracker" songs

Some sound really strange, some incomplete.. no Tracker? But 18 is a good number, including bonus tracks it is more or less the usual number of songs...

i think that pdf file is a bit of a hoax ,

the orig. posted pdf on FB also includes tracks like :
Guide my sword (princess bride)
and Stargazer (local hero)

It's not a hoax. If you look at the WORK ID's Beryl started with the digits 887.

I searched again on ASCAP en selected just the song with WORK ID's that started with 887. If all the songs were uploaded at the same time then the numbers would be sequentially or in the vicinity of Beryl. That's all I did.

just search for yourself right here: https://www.ascap.com/home/ace-title-search/index.aspx

Who says Beryl is the first one?

Guide my sword and Stargazer says published by Strait Jacket, so the id doesn't work as the rest are published by Will d.side...

That i understand , but for example id: 31329**** , provides a song called : A CUT ABOVE THE REST , by STRAITJACKET SONGS LTD,
Mark never recorded a song with that name and there are more songs i can remember Mark ever wrote or recorded , so it is most likely that those (Tracer) ID-number and song names are incorrect.
Also it would be an album without a title track.

2.

I think that the list give us a good hint. And i believe that we will read many of them on the tracker album.
The problem with the unpublished songs in that list was already discussed here: http://www.amarkintime.org/forum/index.php?topic=1961.0.

Why not register a song for copyright, even if you not publish it?

Anyway: .38 Special / Broken Bones /Lights of Taormina /Silver Eagle / Skydiver / Terminal of tribute to - this titles make me curious.

CD Deluxe : 4 extra's (don't know if he means 4 bonus songs)
CD Box: 6 extra's (songs?) + dvd + vinyl

Guy mentioned "lots of bonus tracks" - otherwise I would expect another "live from the rehearsal room" kind of live recorded stuff of old well known songs..
11 songs should mean that there are at least one or two songs on it that are longer than let's say 4 or 5 minutes, or it would be a quite short album...

After the sensation with the first double album in MK's career it has to be a letdown somehow to get a simple "single" album, with 11 songs instead 20..

But if there is some kind of "album" feel, (something that lacked Privateering in my opinion, but Get Lucky had it extremely well made), it will be ok with me!

If that Spanish source gave you that info it means that the official information is coming in no time.

I made a research on the Ascap ACE site
https://www.ascap.com/home/ace-title-search/index.aspx
A research with performer = dire straits
I find in the titles :
Boom Like That
Sailing To Philadelphia
Two Skinny Kids
What It Is

So, were these songs originally  Dire Straits songs ?
They got a name for people like you, yeh they do
And they got a name for people like me too
El Macho, El Macho
