Author Topic: Wembley Arena July 10th 1985 - complete recording anyone?  (Read 5301 times)

Hi,
you all know that this is (for me definitely) the best and coolest Dire Straits concert ever. But all bootlegs I am aware of only offer the TV show set. Is there a bootleg available with the complete show? Ride Across The River would be very cool to have from this show. A pity that the tv station did not record that one, too.

Any help appreciated!

I guess that if it would have circulated around internet, Jeroen would have it....
and he doesn't have it...so there's no much hope I'm afraid.....

The played Wembley from the 4th to the 16th and quite a few are available, although if I recall the recording of the 16th was only circulated fairly recently so you never know...

I presumed that the full show has been filmed (for UK The Tube channel) and recorded (for USA KBFH syndicated radio program). But "the power that be" on the subject seem to have no interest in releasing it. One day maybe... please before I die.

I have three vinyl releases of the show, but none has the songs in question. They must be rip offs from the TV broadcast.
Come on, it is not funny anymore.

Thanks all!
Yeah, I have the show myself, too, (of course) and a great DVD with the complete broadcasted thing. But I guess they did not start the broadcasting with Love Expresso Love, but have probably recorded the whole show.  ;) So too bad that there is obviously nothing to be waiting for. Or maybe someday, a blu-ray...  ::)

I'm sure it still exists...in the memories of the fans that attended on the 10th of July, 1985.

Perhaps if we got enough of them together, we could record them singing and clapping along to the studio versions and fill in the missing bits.  ;)

There's more than that missing.  We don't have circulating dates of 5th, 6th, 7th, 9th, 10th (audience), 12th and 13th.

Remember it actually July we're talking about here - the thread title is wrong.  July is the 7th month so if it's the American date system then...

Corrected!
I was only able to correct my own posts in this thread. It is July of course. Thanks you for pointing out.
