The Endless River - New Pink Floyd album!!!!!

I always look forward to the next MK album (and tour), even if there isn't as much guitar as before.   I am of the opinion that MK has been tailoring his songs in the past few years to take into account his capabilities now that he is getting older and his fingers may not be as nimble as they used to be.   For him, I truly believe, the song is still king and I can live with less guitar solos, so long as the songs are still good, which I think they are, with one or two exceptions, of course.   In fact some of my favourite MK songs do not have much guitar, but it's the words and MK's voice that I love and they still thrill me as much as a guitar solo.

Gonna have to totally disagree with you there LE..... 'Clapton  is god'  Never - Clapton's music is so plain and boring - period!!!!

New 'PF' album is good and the box set Blu-Ray has some wonderful material on it but I am really looking forward to the GOD that is MK and the release of the long awaited 'Tracker' and of course the tour too....

Knopflerfan, it might sound weak now when I say this, but of of course I was more speaking about the famous "Clapton is God" quoation - to me, no one of them both is God, even MK is not God (of the guitar) - I never thought in these categories. Of course it's MK and his guitar playing which I like the most, even if my last post sounds  a little bit harsh. But MK is in his own categorie anyway, in many ways, isn't he? 

And it is possible that I get back into "fanboy" mode when the first snippets or the first track is out as an appetizer for Tracker..

Did you also notice that at the end of the blog, it talks about the song Behind The Mask?  It includes a film clip of Eric Clapton doing it on tour with Mark and Elton John.     Unfortunately, I wasn't hearing MK's distinctive sound like many of the other songs with EC.

It is a good record, a wink to all the fans, with the compositions that have a reference to old songs (Us and them, Keep talking, etc)
