in the beginning, where it moves to the "official" part, it sounds taped onto it, but the end is real....what is this??
any Knopfler, Floyd or Dylan will do....

I have never come across this vinyl, and my bet is that there isn't one, and it is unofficial like this one:

Some talented dj with time in his hands just found the original tracks before  mix, or even maybe created some of his own and we have these results!
Come on, it is not funny anymore.

He, he 1:50 of "woo-hoo's" before the lyrics actually begin!  Obviously just an edit though;  you can tell by the bit where Mark makes the "mmm, mmm, mmm" sound at around 0:56.  He does that in the album version right at the end of the lyrics before the play-out so it's obviously been edited.

Thank you Rudiger! I have at least 3-4  12'' vinyl records containing MFN trance and dance remixes. Really nothing interesting,  just collecting purposes.

Most likely made from the separate Guitar Hero or Rock Band game tracks...

Yes.  They seem to have been able to separate the instruments then slow the speed down I think.  Can Cubase do this?  I have Wavelab Lite (the cheapo version  ;D) and that can slow down the music while maintaining the correct pitch but as far as I know it doesn't separate the instruments.

Talking about remixes:
P.T. Grimm
Faggot (Remix for MSI. 2000)

includes sample from Money for Nothing

The lyrics can be offensive/ objectionable to some people
http://www.whosampled.com/sample/233850/P.T.-Grimm-Faggot-(Remix-for-MSI.-2000)-Dire-Straits-Money-for-Nothing/

would this be banned in Canada?  :think

And how smooth it can be done also:
Danni Carlos
Money for Nothing

I found a new one (actually from 1999). It is not a DS song, but a song that is titled Dire straits, and has clear references to songs and records of DS. Nice lyrics and interesting sound. The whole CD.

That was interesting! Maybe not the kind of band that you typically think would pay respects to DS, and I like that  :)
