My top ten story about finding unknown recording was to find the audience recording of the concert in which Alchemy was recorded.

In a dimeadozen torrent, someone commented that he recorded it and still had the tapes. I saw it and contacted him to get that tapes. The funniest thing is that despite saying that in dimeadozen, nobody except me wrote him asking for his tapes.

So, if I had missed his comment, that recording would remain unknown. Thats why I say that it must be full of treasures out there hidden in someone's drawers.

Wow!  Nice one. :thumbsup

I am sure that many many recordings are still hidden from us.

And i am sure because i found the madrid 92 video, and zaragoza 96 and bilbao 85 recordings by pure luck, when met some friends that had the tapes recorded by themselfs, but they didnt have any contact with fan groups, so that recordings were not available.

So who knows what its recorded and forgot out there...

Same for me happened with the Oslo 1992 audience recording. A friend of mine, which I actually have been to a couple of MK concerts with, was there and recorded it. Hope he finds the rest of it one day.

Still waiting for the youtube-uploader to reply, haven't heard from him yet :)

I guess there is more out there indeed :)

The Oslo '92 concert was released on soundboard and widely known as On Every Planet.  Of course this bootleg is incomplete as it misses MFN.

Wonder why they left out MFN on the soundboard recording..  :think This version of MFN sound pretty good to me on the audience recording....

I was always curious about that too because it's not an official recording so it wasn't a band choice and it's not from a radio channel so it's not edited for time constraints.  It must be a direct soundboard feed with no mics for the audience because only the band is heard with very little audience reaction (opposite from a Spanish audience recording ;))!

i have come upon quite a few that way.
the dutch funny (strange) taper, the "normal" dutch taper "flip22" that recorded leiden 85 both nights and some if not all Rotterdam 92 shows etc...dime is a great source to find unreleased stuff in the comments.
any Knopfler, Floyd or Dylan will do....
