Mark Kermode with Mark Knopfler and Bill Forsyth
« on: March 14, 2014, 08:02:47 AM »
I saw on twitter a couple of days ago a wonderful tweet from Mark Kermode saying that he had an amazing day sitting with Knopfler and Forsyth chatting about Local Hero's soundtrack. We all know Kermode's love for the movie and soundtrack and I'm quite excited to hear this. What a movie and soundtrack and I can't wait to hear it on Radio2 soon.

Hey Fordie, is that the same profile picture like BrianT have? :D

Can't wait, too. Hope Mark will give some insights in how he writes instrumental music.

Ah apologies, I hadn't seen him before. He hasn't been registered that long so I guess that lets me off a little ;)

From my own experience, this programme is almost certainly being made by an outside radio production company for the BBC. If I'm right, does anyone know the name of the radio production company that is making it?

Its in bbc radio2? I am familiar with some of his shows, specially the ones in the morning, also the Simon Mayo drivetime, but that name is new for me.

Thanks for this one. It's very funny that score is more popular than movie and on the whole documentary we only can hear MK's name on the very last second of it.
