I really like his new album. Even if I think it's somewhat questionable to put old outtakes and things on new albums (he's done it on his latest releases), I still think it would be great fun if our own MK would to the same.

I love Springsteen's work, mostly the 75-85 era


After Tunnel of love I only have Human touch and lucky town as downloaded files,  and I must admit that after that , I didn't pay much attention to his records.

BUT I have seen him live in Lyon 93, and what a gig !

more than 3 hours, lot of interraction with the public, sometimes in french, a kiss to a girl in the crowd, he played the star spangled banner ala hendrix as an intro to born in the USA, first part of a gig alone with his acoustic guitar, and then the full band...

I'd say that it was my favourite gig I attended in term of "rock attitude" "public interaction", and "what a rock concert should be in term of a musician giving all that he have to the public" I may say

my favourite concert, in term of gigantism/ audio-visual experience / atmosphere/ etc... was Floyd in 94


and my all time favourite concert in term of  "affective" was Mark in 96, because so much surprises in the setlist (songs and arrangements), so much enthousiasm, so great playing, and I was so close to mark

interesting, my favourite audio-visual experience was also the floyd in 94. and then Roger waters with the wall just this summer, so much better and more impressive then the first time i saw that show in 2009.
i sort of like bits of Bruce, but what i really really like is that acoustic album with them folk tradiotionals on it. forgot the name.

Sorry for being out off topic, but just for Pottel :
I saw Floyd in Lyon (Gerland stadium)  september 94, the night they played various songs from various albums, but not the night they played the whole DSoTM.
the scene was elevated, and it was good for me, because I'm not tall.
the sound was perfect. Loud, but not agressive to ears as it's sometimes the case on venues like Tony garnier.
some people said that they heard the sound until...Villeurbanne (north from Lyon, while the stadium is in the south of the town).
the screen, the big pigs muppets, fireworks, and all...a great "show", not only musical

great memories....although I would have prefered to see them live during 73-77 era....

I must admi that now I don't listen to any of their recordings from 80ies-90ies, I still prefer the 70ies era, especially the 75 an the 77 tours

strange, as i have all existing recordings from all 1994 floyd shows, and lyon was only played on 23.09.1994 (i saw them a few weeks earlier in Werchter, Belgium, 02.09.1994)

and I am 100% sure I attended a gig with NO full DSoTM.

I remember a friend of mine attending the other gig, with the full DSoTM

I don't have the ticket right now to check, but regarding your setlist, I must have attended the 11th, while my friend attended the 23th

maybe you have all exitsing recordings, but no all gigs performed 

It seems I often go to gig that aren't recorded :
my first DS gig in 92 and my first MK gig in 96 are not on Jeroen's site, so I guess that no recordings exist from these concerts

and now, same for Floyd....I wonder if the Springsteen gig was recorded

lol, just saw that...strange, i think that is the only time they came back to a venue not the next night, on this tour. strange.

Cross mixed channels 70:30, removes mic phasing, instruments clearer, less noticable crowd noise
Fixed the changing L/R channel balance between tracks
Evened out the different volume levels on all tracks

Quality: Worth an A+ now

I decided to commit what some PF enthusiasts may deem heresy and remaster the best I could find -
and it has turned out much better, even if it doesn't quite reach the quality of earlier classic

JF and Pottel thanks for the PF info! Wish I was there! I saw Wall the previous summer by accident, and it was great, but I just felt like I was in a musical show rather than a concert. But it felt good! And it was the only time that Gilmour was only missed for his voice (OK and the Comfortably Numb solo) 

As for Bruce, I completely adore his work up to his 5LP live in the mid eighties. I have all his records (but this last one) but maybe I am too old to really delve into them and extract the same joy that I found in his 70ies and 80ies records. My absolute favorite album is the 1973  The Wild, the Innocent & the E Street Shuffle. Different from his next releases, yet archetypical Springsteen!
Never saw him live, and since he usually plays in large venues I doubt my going even if he comes in Greece.

I heard this morning that Pete Seeger has died aged 94, so I dug out my copy of "The Pete Seeger Sessions" with Bruce Springsteen from St Lukes.    I haven't listened to it for years, but it was a great concert!    RIP Pete!
