Okay, a few very minor greenies in the last solo but nothing really noticeable unless under scrutiny until you come to the bit after the twiddly bits where the band stop and start a few times (do you know the bit...just near the very end) and that is the bit that's noticeable.  Apart from that, it's pretty good.  Nice pace and much better than anything in years.  Oh and the Pensa sounds much better than his new (or recent) Strat on it too IMO.

The concert I listen to over and over -- like Sweet Surrender -- is Alchemy.
My favorite of the concerts I've actually seen is probably my first, Chicago '85, partly because MK waved and smiled at me. Still the highlight of my life.

Some great concerts so far and one I would add is NHB in May 97 at the Shepherds Bush Empire. I have one bootleg from the night I attended (not sure of exact date without looking at ticket). It is a very long set with some rarely played songs and MK and co joking around all night. Probably my favourite MK gig ive attended.

I'm gonna hop on this train too, but its a top 5 i'm afraid:

1 Basel 1992  My late Dad got me into DS by the time of Love over Gold ( he told me that he discovered DS driving home from work, heard SoS and pulled over, and listened breathless till it finished) and from then on I listened for days to DS C LoG MM BIA whilst reading the lyrics over and over. My first live experience was Rotterdam 1992, but Basel is on top of the list as that time it was the only (hometaped) video I owned and therefore played it till my eyes bled... :o

2 Vaison 1996 the bluesy sound of MKs guitar on JSD and especially Water of Love......
Shivers all over everytime I listen to it.

3 Minneapolis 2001 (in fact that whole tour was great with surprises like Pyroman, Wag the Dog etc) But I partically love the intro of MFN where MK after playing slide, perfectly starts his most famous riff after the drum stop....

4 NHB 1998 Ronnie Scotts Birmingham where we were sat at our table so close I could easily pull MK shoe laces if it wasnt he wore boots  ;D   Also that setlist was amazing, enormous and lots of surprises and gems like Rope Stretching, meet me in the bottom, cant be satisfied, mystery train, you better move on, nadine, etc etc

5a Final Oz 1986 with the epic So Far Away Calypso version

5b NHB Swan Hunter 1993 also great, funny version of So Far Away with jokes lyrics by MK and BC.

Sadly I cant find my Basel copy anywhere, but the ever so lovely Ingrid is gonna help me out on this..

Much appreciated!!!

:clap :clap   (couldn't find the worship smiley)

Just my 2 cts

I was there too, Zeeley on the 10th and had a great time, but the video of the 15th is excellent!   I agree, great set list, fantastic atmosphere and a very jovial MK!    I forgot to put that one on my list!  :smack

I'm beginning to think the better question would've been:  what is your favourite two concerts from each tour?  This way it would eliminate any preferences between arrangements on different tours/eras and everyone choosing more than two because it's very difficult to choose only two. :think

Why not ! To me, as I said before, there were no weak tour, and I don't think one tour was better than the other, they are just different attempts (as Mark says) to the songs, at end is great the take on the songs was different from tour to tour... different does not mean better.

- The first tour was great because it's were everything started.

Wow, a lot of accordance with your list from my side! Indeed most of your shows listed would be on my list, too!

hehehe  those were the days....
I've never seen that video, is it possible when Ingrid is over...... ;) :-[

What I also remember in Ronnie Scott's London that people were eating (full diner) whilst listening to the concert. oh and it started pretty late in the evening ;D

Yes, of course!   Anything else?    ;)

I often read about this mistake on Sultans in Boston (or Chicago ?), but I never heard it, and I can't find it on YT

could someone ulpoad it somewhere, or send it by mail please ?

I just want to listen to this mistake, don't need to the full concert, I have already many from the STP tour

thanks in advance

I just listened to the 2001 Boston and Chicago version of Sultans....(thanks to dmg)

indeed the end of the Boston version is....terrible

but I can't hear any BIG mistake in the Chicago version.
Of course there are some greenies here and there, but not much more as on many other versions since 2001....

I agree with dmg, and I don't understand why Val called it a "disaster" ?

otherwiseI listened yesterday to the  2013 istanbul gig, and in WII there is a very noticeable greenie (at 2:33 below), that's what I call a WRONG note
but on Sultans Chicago 2001, I can't hear anything comparable...
