when I looked on the quality control sticker under the pick guard on mine I found it gave a date on which it was assembled.
This was after the date I ordered it from a shop in the UK, which made me wonder if they did an initial batch and then just made them to order.
(I had to wait 3 months between ordering it and delivery). It would be interesting to find out how many were made but I don't know if Fender would release that info.
