if one of my post (I think #20) was understood as telling someone to "
build his guitar instead of buying one" (like Ingrid said), well it was totally misunderstood
my intention was never to tell anyone what to do
I was just answering to Foma, about the fact that the neck is the most important thing in an electric guitar, specially on a strat (more than on a LP where the body influences more the sound I believe), and that build a guitar (for people who want to) could be a solution.
It was an alternative, a proposition, not an obligation. I thought it was clear, obvious, but it seems not...(sorry, but I find justifications sometimes a little bit surrealistic.... :
)
I didn't build my guitar neither. But as Foma was talking about assembling the neck with other parts, I just added some points of view about neck and guitar parts....
BTW, even if Mark didn't build his guitar in early days, he modified it quite a lot regarding PU, rotary switch, etc... more infos on Ingo's blog for peole interested
and sorry to repeat it again, but I'm not jealous either
