Bond's car is convertible too, and in your case you would have Roger moore driving you (I personnaly would prefer Barbara bach...)  ;D

No, under water, at least in this film.

Ah, the Lotus Esprit in The Spy Who Loved Me.  I had the Corgi model of that as a boy and missiles actually flew out the back window if you pressed a lever on the roof and the underwater fins popped out if you pressed a button on the bonnet!

Loved the bit in the film when bond drove out the sea, up the beach and dropped a dead fish out the window in front of a gathered crowd.  Only Moore could pull this off with such comic effect. ;D

Film was directed by Lewis Gilbert also famed for directing Moore's friend Michael Caine in Alfie!

Just forgot to mention that Nigel Hitchcock confirmed on facebook that he will play the NA dates with MK.

He already said it to fans during the RAH shows, so I dont understand why he's not included on the band list, unless he's considered just as a guest...

Hmm, I wouldn't recommend to d(r)ive an Esprit. No guarantee you'll make it to the other side. My brother has one on his driveway, but Lotus is an abbreviation: Lots Of Trouble, Usually Serious. ;D Can't say they are reliable...

I seem to remember Moore saying in an interview that it kept on overheating when they were shooting "on location."  I guess putting it in the sea would have cooled it down then!  :think ;D

Well, you took the wind out of your own sails with your last sentence, didn't you.
But of course it is the biggest news of the day, mk-wise!  ;)

Drat it all.   I missed out on the 1st Oakland date.  Timing very bad for me.   I. Must. Get. 2nd. Night. Tickets.   Must. Get. 2nd. Night. Tickets.   I shall pray to the Stratocaster god.
But a spoonful of forgiveness
Goes a long, long way
And we all should do our best
To get along

Richard wrote a new diary entry today: http://richard-bennett.com/

It's really worth to read in its entirety, but here I'd like to quote the MK-relevant passage:

"It's nice being home again but before long the bags are coming down again as we head off for a few dates with Mark at the end of October.  It's the shortest tour ever, all of 5 shows... Los Angeles, Long Beach, Las Vegas and two shows in Oakland.  Looking forward to seeing the boys again."

And she's sitting in her Lusso, in the early morning sun.
