Taking up Ingrid's request, checking for more USA fall dates on the net right now, I come across a 1 June 2014 show at the RAH, nothing less: http://www.5gig.com/Mark+Knopfler-tourdates/concerts. Or should this be a mistake?

Is possible tunnel, fridaynight or saturdaymorning early flight. Show on saturday, flight back on sunday, work on monday 
My past 3 months looked like this except I most of the time took an extra day off on friday and or monday to do 2 or 3 shows in a weekend 
It's absolutely worth it. There were 4 weekends I drove 2000 km so a couple of hours flight are easier

I agree, it's very easy  to do it. Easy but very unlikely. 
I doubt everybody in this part of the world would understand the need for an expensive US trip after so many European dates.

Don't hope too much on eastcoast. If my info is reliable it will be 5 or 6 westcoast.

Ingrid, I so hope you're wrong.  I am going to be so bummed out.  When you live on one coast, flying across the U.S. and back is a big deal and a big expense.  As much as I love MK, I won't be doing it.
