richards last post, today:
Sadly, it was the last show that Nigel Hitchcock will do with us on this tour.  It's been great having Nige along, he's a brilliant musician and wonderful guy and we look forward to seeing him for a short run of dates in October in the States.

No sh*t, I'll be in the US in October (probably, most likely)... ;D

Today was announced that Privateering will be released in the US by a Universal company, so probably this small tour has something to do.with it.

It makes you wonder if the lack of an official release in the US was the reason for the original decision not to tour NA. Why promote an album that people had a hard time purchasing?  :hmm

Or maybe they are just calling on Mark to rid Vegas of an 'infestation' by playing a couple Slim Whitman covers....yoooodeleeeeeiiii!!!  ;D (Sorry Ingrid...I just couldn't resist ;))

That's encouraging to hear that Nigel will be with them in the fall. My guess is that this 'mini-tour' will be restricted to major metropolitan areas only: NYC, Boston, Philadelphia, Washington, Chicago, St. Louis, Denver, Vegas, San Diego, LA, San Francisco, Seattle and maybe Vancouver

Hearing a Toronto gig is coming.

I don't think that Vegas being played is more about money than anywhere else, it is just that there are enough people to fill the house and play for.

I could reverse the question, why Mark should NOT play Vegas? Compared to other US cities does the audience particulary stink there?

The haters are those who write shit

I saw that.  I wasn't too happy about the answer.  Still, I will  hold on to my firm believe that come Oct, NA will get our turn. :)

Guy on the US tour today in response to Chris Jerome's question:
"Again, stay tuned. I can't say right now."

Just yesterday I was losing hope of anything happening this October because there doesn't seem to be enough time left for ticket sales etc. and Nov/Dec would be too late. But I am encouraged by Guy's response. Maybe we will have something after all, or it could still be 2014 Spring....either way, we'll take it!

It will be october this year, Guy first responded positive and then removed his answer and wrote something like stay tuned on the official site

I concurred.  Oct !!!!!!!!!!!! Singh, don't lose hope ! Start mentally prepare, Oct will be here before we know it.  Official announcement Aug.  Presale early September.  Tour Oct to Nov.  I think there will be more than 5-6 shows.

I'm getting excited just thinking about it. :)
