What songs have not been played live?
« on: June 27, 2013, 01:37:42 PM »
I was reading Songs never played live about which songs Mark never has played live that we'd like to hear and it got me thinking, what songs have Mark never played live (excluding Dire Straits and non-lyric soundtrack songs)? Not which ones we'd like to hear, but which ones have NEVER been played at all.

From what I could gather the following have NEVER been played live, but surely there are more.
Before Gas and TV
Bluebird
Camerado
Don't Crash the Ambulance
Don't you get it
Fare Thee Well Northumberland
Hot or What
Kingdom Come
Madame Geneva's
Millionaire Blues
Punish the Monkey
Radio City Serenade
Silvertown Blues
So Far From The Clyde
The Dream of the Drowned Submariner
The Ragpicker's Dream
Today is OK
We Can Get Wild
You Can' t Beat the House
You Don't Know You're Born

Which other songs do you know for sure he's never played live?
(And are we sure these never have been played live? Not even once?)

Thanks

I'll revise the list as we go along.

After a short view at that list at least El Macho and Let It All Go were already played live, although at promotion shows only...

El Macho was played live during 2001 tour, in Mexico DF, Buenos Aires, Montevideo and some Brazilian dates too.

Metroland is a personal favourite that never has been played live.

But I think it really really really ought to be.

(And then there's loads of music from the soundtracks too of course, but very few are as good as Metroland)  :D

Go to tour dates, then scroll down to the very bottom and you'll see previous MK tours.

I am not sure if it counts but Beachcombing has also never been played live. Even if we take out the Emmylou collaboration out of this, that song is so much MK that it should count as a typical MK song, don't you think? Would love to hear it live!
