It was a Good show. Full stop. With a very enthusiastic audience. I had the best "further away" seats ever, leg space was brilliant. Recording came out way better then with Frankfurt.
any Knopfler, Floyd or Dylan will do....

Why he prefers to play bloody Sonny over Sultans is beyond me. I know his songs are his children and that you are suppose to love all your children, but still... If at least Sultans was replaced by something wonderful, either old or new... like Lions or Silvertown.... but Sonny... Can't get it... to me that"s the least appealing song of his least appealing solo album (as a whole, I don't deny some songs are great, like Postcards).

Corned Beef City was in the setlist here until 8 hours ago , because then I was told , by the same "guy at the venue" who provided me the songs live yesterday that he was mistaken and that CBC was not played. After that I edited the setlist post and asked Allen to edit the main setlist on this page.
But are you saying that CBC was played?  :hmm
If not, remember that most setlist pages using this forum to get the setlist and didn't noticed the correction.

Enlight, I wasn't at the concert, but so far CBC was played at ALL concerts as 2nd song ... would be strange if it wasn't performed at this concert !

Ok,ok Pottel made a little mistake here, and on his defense he was right during the live-setlist  :clap
but missed CBC on his own  recording...... I guess the song became much to natural for him.
After that he contacted me and I edited the set list ,because I got blind faith in Pottel and still have!!, a thing that was not suppose to stay in Budapest after it happened  ;D

Ok the setlist was:

01 What It Is
02 Corned Beef City
03 Cleaning my Gun *
04 Privateering
05 Father and Son
06 Hill Farmers Blues
07 I Dug Up a Diamond
08 I Used to Could
09 Romeo and Juliet
10 Song for Sonny Liston *
11 Postcards from Paraguay
12 Marbletown
13 Speedway at Nazareth
14 Telegraph Road
15 Shangri-La *
16 So far away

*= Different from last Concert

(sorry Allen ;) )

If I understand well, Pottel reported correctely live, then he spent the night with Elian and Arnaud and after that CBC disappeared.  ;)
Corned beef city, filmed through a mousehole (like most part of the show) :

 Red-light districtbud Tree still wasn't played, wasn't it...  8)

At least we have something interesting to talk about, haven't we! After the set list itself is of no special interest anymore...

Okay, Sonny Liston is sounding better than ever with nice little touches here and there but - and it's a major "but" - that "kick ass" solo is now gone!  Song now unnecessary;  just 7 minutes of lyrics that interest MK.
"...and I blew up the radio in pretty short order."
