My idea of heaven is a place where the Tyne meets the Delta, where folk music meets the blues.

Sorry, it was my fault.  It seems it was me who kept you waiting for so long.  I should have put up this topic earlier.  I couldn't apologize more!!! :smack

Listening to the YouTube clips Mark and the band seem to be in a great place right now musically.  Time to record a show I'd say!  They seem to be improvising a bit more and playing even better - if only that BBC4 thing was being recorded now.

I've noticed also that they've taken the echo thing off MK's vocal on HFB.  When did that happen?  They started the tour with it and I'm sure they had it at the UK show I was at. :think  Maybe it just doesn't show on the stick? :think

I can't say for sitcks since I haven't listened one yet, but as for 2005 simfy recordings, I noticed that they have less reverb than live sound.
the guitar on e.g. TR sounds "nearest", "drier" than in concert.
the mix for the recording is obviously not the same for the FOH sound.
so maybe ist the same with the echo thing ? (I like it on bonus tracks from the Privateering deluxe edition)

thanks all!

correct me if I'm wrong ( and thats a big chance) , but this is the second time with the Cardiff gig that both the "anti" Elvis's manager songs "Back to Tupelo" and "Gator Blood" were played :think
One of my favorites gig.

Great show tonight! A lot funnier than yesterday; the whole band really seemed to enjoy themselves.

No running at all, the sun was out as me and a pal sat waiting by the load in gate to kill some time.

The show was amazing, I can only concurr with what the rest of you guys throughout Europe have had to say! Only letdown was obviously the lack of Sultans. But then again, what a fantastic performance music wise.

All in all, extremely happy  :)
