Memories of the RAH week
« on: June 05, 2013, 08:49:41 AM »
After what seems to have been a heavenly week at the RAH I wanted to ask if anybody was lucky to meet MK coming in or out of the venue or was even lucky enough to meet him at one of the after show receptions Richard is speaking of in his notes? I suppose the RAH VIP tickets were something different than the band after show receptions. Thanks for sharing your memories.

Me and Jarle was standing at the back of RAH, hopefully to catch the band and MK when they arrived.

We did see Jim Cox and John McCusker walked past us, looking away as giving us a sign that he did not want to stop  :P

Later a black Range Rover came, but the driver took another way and in the front seat we could see MK wearing a cap and sunglasses, hiding a little bit.
He must have taken another way in. We did not see anyone else from the band.

Fantastic concert :)

It was a real pleasure to meet some of you...

I was at the Stanhope Arms on friday around 17.00, there were a few people with Knopfler t-shirts, I dont know if any of you were there but I was wearing my green MK shirt from this tour.

I was there with Binone and some other friends and had the chance to met "Duchetsy", who I see again at the RAH. And after, at the RAH I had the pleaseure to met also "A man on the track", "Irishrose", "Marijn", "Camerado", finally had a beer with "Tunnel85" and I

We were leaving the Cafe Consort on Monday prior to the start our RAH tour at 4.30pm when from the window we saw one of the RRs arrive at the stage door containing John, Glen, Richard and I think Ian.  There was no-one around at that time so there didn't seem to be any need for MK to use another entrance although we didn't see him or any other RRs arrive.
Last tour I got a photo and quick chat with John as he was outside for a quick smoke.

That's a coincidence - last tour I also saw John at the rear of the hall out for a smoke and a call on his mobile.  As he was talking I didn't disturb him.
