They played Redbud Tree at the little show in Bermondsey I believe, so more likely that than Seattle, but I hope I'm wrong. Perhaps RM will do a little Emmylou impersonation on I dug up a diamond?
very well predicted!
any Knopfler, Floyd or Dylan will do....

Ruth was a brilliant addition on all three songs, that lady has a great voice. I missed SOS for the split second when I realized that it was not going to be played, and that was that. Totally not feel robbed of anything. A memorable ugly, but the audience was far too quite for a Dutch audience, Bremen and Antwerp had far better audiences, Amsterdam felt more like Bremen.
Their final run from the stage was also very fast, very short goodbyes, what I did hope for and thoroughly missed was yon two crows. For me he can drop Romeo and tr to, just keep sultans as a joker.

I can't believe all this moaning i'm reading. Actually i can :-[ Every tour i read "same old songs", "MK never changes". "so boring we have to keep hearing SOS etc". Now he varies the set show to show and everyone continues to bitch. One sad day this outstanding musician will no longer be performing, think about that  :'(

By the way: marbletown was really great. I had some guests not real fans who told me it was their favorite song. I can imagine. It is musicianship at the highest level. Mark's contribution is not the biggest but I can't care less

About the audience........... No HMH....No Heineken perhaps?
Ziggo is a TV, telephone and internet provider and is occasionally down  too  :lol

Unfortunately I couldn't be there , but I am glad you all liked it. :clap
Mark would jam with a person who won a competition on the Dutch radio2,
did you see or hear anything of that?

From MK news
"
DUTCH GUITARISTS: Seems that The Red Show, broadcast on Holland's Radio 2, is offering Dutch guitarists the chance to play with Mark in Amsterdam in May. Further details (09/01/13) "

I Think the Dutch audience are some lucky people , to witness the first collaboration with an "Guest"  Like Ruth Moody during this tour,
on three songs!!
And yeah , back in 1978 SOS became successful first in Holland just like Dire Straits' first album, but this is a MK tour ,
and I guess he wouldn't saddle us up with a SOS version were he pushed the lyrics to the famous licks only in the solo and strumming the ending C-chord ASAP.
So with all respect for the comments, most of the Dutch people and DJ's are delighted to make  Ruth Moody more successful ,
like they did with SOS in Europe way back then .
And this only costs us SOS for the first time in history and in return Mark gave us three songs accomplished with Ruth for the first time.
Thanks for the trade Mark!!

I'm in the States and so won't see a show on this tour, and I love Sultans, but from what I've seen and heard on YouTube, Mark should drop Sultans from the set. His heart doesn't appear to be in it, like he's going through the motions. It sounds draggy and boring to me.

About the audience: I'd guess it's because it was all seated unlike the HMH.
Dutch people aren't Italians in the end... ;)
The way he sings and plays guitar
            Still brings me to tears
