He is saying (almost as an excuse and directly before he starts Gator Blood)  at 8:35 "Just fixing my guitar".. and after that "... switching problem there"..

I must admit I have no clue what you mean with "treeble" chords... I am no musician...

Questions, questions...

My bad, wrong word from me. Not "chords" but "string"  - phonetically  "chord" is the french word for "string" and "rope" - and  I mixed it.

And a "string" in french is  ;D

Ok, then, I give it another try then:

What was to be switched on the guitar? And when he says it so closely before he starts Gator Blood, I think that the Gator Blood guitar was not ok then?
So there was no broken guitar on Sultans?

Yes there was something wrong from 4'00'' and the end solo wasn't sounding good to my hear but I couldn't see what was wrong, no broken string but I suspected that one was suddenly out of tune or something like that and Mark avoided to play on it.

I agree with Pensaboy : nothing specially wrong here. no broken string, no out of tune, no problem IMHO
It's "just" that the solo is almost completely different from usual

about "fixing the guitar", I think it's more about gator blood :  the strap is maybe not correctly fixed ? or the capo isn't corectly fixed ?
remember that for Gator blood he has to take the bottleneck, maybe is he searching it in the dark ? maybe all of this at the same time ?  ::)

usually, "switching" on a guitar means switching the pick-ups combination. Glenn Sagger has to prepare the guitar for Mark : right tunning of course, but also the right switch position.
maybe is it wrong here ?

or maybe is he talking about switching between the 2 guitars ?  ;D
"wait a minute Glenn, let me take off the red strat before giving me the white one !"  :smack ;D :D

exactly

the same for the 4'00 note which is not an error or a problem but a single out of tune note
which MK played intentionally, it's a special musical scale he uses sometimes.

he just drank some good wine in italy that evening, that's it :)

What can I say is at that exact moment at least two of us did notice it.

So the usual "play everything" joke from the past tour will be replaced with "play it voluntary wrong"  ;D

There's nothing wrong with the solo. That "glitch" is done intentionally.

it's surely not easy to understand for a person who doesn't play when an out of tune note is done
intentionally or not

any at least good player can tell that the 4'00 is done intentionally

Maybe but from the audience it certainly sounded not melodious.

agree 100% with pensaboy and Mojoiglesias, it's obviously intentional
but I understand what Ds1984 says : the audience could have found this a little bit strange
