I am so impressed with the graciousness of the Chinese audiences at all the events.  They are kind to EVERYBODY!      I just watched a news report about the gentleman who designed the medallions and symbols for the Olympics this year.  (Thank you Allen  )    Such a fine man, who spoke of worldwide love and concern for our planet.  Such a kind face and beautiful smile.   Such immense talent.    I was very moved by the report.

The women, on the other hand (especially in gymnastics), are encouraged to starve, in order to keep their weight down! How can you starve yourself and compete on such an elite level?

Congratulations to the amazing Michael Phelps winning his 8th Gold Medal!   I have just finished watching, but I wish the commentators would realise that the Relay is a TEAM effort and mention the names of the others who helped him to his medal!

Great point, the last American swimmer really had too hold his own.  Full credit to Phelps though, his leg put America from a position of contention to the position of being in the lead.
