Ingrid, I saw your latest message on Guy's forum and I just want to thank congrats and thank you for it - it made my day.
There are so few people in the wolrd who know how to say "I was wrong and I'm sorry" with simplicity and style.
Cheers ! :)

The vids are fab, even though TR is again in "karaoke mode"... oh well....

Thanks Herlock, I felt bad tonight, so besides the message on the forum I wrote Guy a mail which he replied. So we are "friends" again ;-)

It's really nice to hear you are both friends again, Ingrid!      :)   :-*

Very nice message Ingrid, glad to see world is round again.

Fantastic vids, but poor old T Road may need CPR shortly.

I read Guy's reply to you Ingrid and I must say I was shocked.  You put your point across in a polite manner and all he could manage in reply was an expletive.  He may have apologised, but what sort of person behaves like that in the first place?  He's gone down in my estimations.  I guess life's too short to hold a grudge so best to forgive and forget - move on.

On a more positive note, on listening to the videos I think Ian Thomas is settling in nicely, especially making his mark on R&J.  Crows has evolved a bit too since last year and sounds much better now;  Mark playing some licks during the lyrics thereby building up the song when it felt a bit flat last year until the final solo.

Can't wait until tomorrows set list then and we'll see just how much it will change...

I must say I'm disappointed with some of the comments on this thread. I think most of us just don't realise MK is playin' not for us, only a bunch of hard followers, but for the majority of a crowd who wants to hear classics from DS era and other uptempo songs. If it was just for us, MK would be playin' to venues of 50, 100 people at most. He plays for zillions of people who hardly know he's on solo career, but certainly know about his golden days of BiA, SoS, WoL, R&J, MfN. This is what they want to hear. This is what the tv ads are about. So I think the 90% of disappointed ones are, in fact, less than 5%. Most of people who go to the concerts are happy enoguh with five new songs, some other from his solo career and some DS highliths. I affirm that based on my own experience. Being from a land out of the main circuit, I was happy enough to hear him play this kind of setlist back in 2001 and I would be disappoited if the show were full of surprises and stripped down of DS songs. And I guess I also can point that, ok, we - get-a-lifers - can be disatisfied with the setlist, but we are not the primary target of the tour. This goes to the average fan, who follows MK from time to time, knows a little bit of his solo career but is really acquainted to him by his DS days.
Love over gold, mind over matter

we pay shitloads of money to go watch him and buy his cd's and sticks, and even though we all love him, even when he farts the telephone book live on stage, we are allowed to post our dissapointment, i see no issue with that.

I've been wondering what guys like the 96ers think of it all;  playing the same old songs tour after tour.  I mean, they can't really be getting anything out of it musically any more and must just be going through the motions by now.  They are paid musicians so I guess they have to take the work, but I'll bet they pray for something new and challenging to get their teeth into.  Or maybe they just go along for the 5 star hotels, private jets and cordon-bleu cuisine! ;D

Doesn't mean they'll play them, or even intended to play them all.  They may have been rehearsed just to achieve an appropriate set.

I also must say i would like songs like Silvertown, So far from the Clyde, 5.15 am and also some change in the DS songs would be nice but i'm guessing the setlist will change and other songs will be played.....
