My word guys - talk about jumping the gun! perhaps for those who don't play guitar or music might not know but if you haven't played 'Live' for a while you need to 'settle' in with some looseners if you know what I mean.
Give Mark a break as I just feel this tour is just gonna be something awesome.
I will say it again but if he plays that set at all my concerts we are going to I really couldnt care less because each night there will be a little variation and for me just to see and hear my Guitar Idol again will be tremendous....

I suppose I could go on and on about seeing Status quo each year because they basically don't change anything at all in their set!!

Lets all enjoy the legend that is Mark Knopfler while we can!!! ;)
* Mark Knopfler - NOT just a hobby, but a way of life!

''We have rehearsed 30+ songs and we aim to play them all.''

that's pretty interesting unless he is talking about 10 different versions of Done with Bonaparte

I was disappointed that we didn't see some more surprises, but realistically I am sure it was the perfect set of songs for the fans in Romania, who probably don't have the opportunity of seeing him play live as often as those of us on this forum.

Thats the main thing!! Totally agree with you!  :)
Thats true, agreed on that point.. :thumbsup

Agree with you Val. Maybe that's the problem with us "get-a-lifers" attending too much shows, extreme excitement

....Please count me in the 10%....

+1  :thumbsup

Firstly, I love the setlist. Moreover, even if they are the same songs, every time they evoke different emotions.
By the way, when I go to hear a concert of Mozart or Beethoven I don't expect changes in the setlist but if the music is well performed I still can appreciate it  ;D

Its a shame!!! Are you going to ruin everything?

It was the first night of 70!! shows!! The set-list will envolve as Guy answered!

Im in shock!!  :disbelief

I totally agree.  What a bummer for Guy to receive such negative comments on the first night of their tour.   :disbelief
It's hard sometimes but pretty much it's alright

Ingrid, I saw your latest message on Guy's forum and I just want to thank congrats and thank you for it - it made my day.
There are so few people in the wolrd who know how to say "I was wrong and I'm sorry" with simplicity and style.
Cheers ! :)

The vids are fab, even though TR is again in "karaoke mode"... oh well....

Thanks Herlock, I felt bad tonight, so besides the message on the forum I wrote Guy a mail which he replied. So we are "friends" again ;-)
