Are you really MK fans?

Most of all the songs you are mentioning are DS songs and many of them quite old. Don

In 2008, much "new "songs he played on stage were from 2002.

MK solo songs. Most of the past songs that people posted here were old DS ones...

There are no DS songs. They are all MK songs. Only that some used to be performed by DS. If Mark never look back why he still play a bunch of songs from the DS era... Over the years, mostly always the same ones

By the way SFA was dropped after DS disbanded but Mark suddenly remembered it quite late into the 2001 tour.
And in 2002 Your Latest Trick was back for two night, in 2006 Why Worry was back for a whole tour...

why don't we make an official poll of requested songs never played in any MK tour
and then we tell Guy the winning song or the best 3 (and they choose 1 of the 3)

it would be stupid for them to ignore a worldwide poll

:wave I'd love to tackle this.  While far from being an expert on what has been performed live, I have been tracking songs in this thread and a similar thread ("Songs never played live"), and will compile a quick list of DS and MK songs for all to vote on.

So folks...  if you haven't already listed your favorite song that hasn't been played live (or was played live, and has long been "forgotten")  :think, please list them here, and I will get something out by this weekend.

Peter Gabriel uses to set up a poll where the fans vote for songs and he usually choose some songs of that poll, actually there was a tour called "Warm up tour" where the firsts shows were very unusual as Gabriel decided to play just the rare songs that the people voted.

He said that was exhausting, because he didnt play that songs from decades and in the end he had to change some of that songs for the popular ones. The result was great, a show mixing rare songs and famous songs. Thats an artist that listen to his fans.

MK was once close to listen to his fans, and it was in 2001, in Brasil people spent all the shows shoting "So far away, so far away" and he started to play it. People was asking Guy to play Silvertown and Portobello Belle, and they rehearsed that songs in various soundchecks (there is one recording of them rehearsing both songs) but MK decided that it was time to stop listening the fans and play what he wanted to play, not what the people wanted, why? MK says that if he

I always thought there was a misunderstanding here.  The arena was so large that the stage was so far from the fans they were shouting out "you're so far away, so far away!"  Guy just didn't hear them properly due to the in-ear pieces they have. ::)

Why disenchant?  ;D
Seriously, I think that Mark never (perhaps only in exceptional circumstances) accepted requests: hilarious is the recording from Tokyo 83 when Mark invited an annoying fan to "skate away"  :lol

Well, I'm sure if we ask him to play WII, PW, SFSL and SFA he will do so.   :-[
Of course it won't be the same story if we ask INR or SB.  :thumbsdown

Ya, let's do it...

This will be for fun, really for us.  I'll get a poll set up by Sunday.  In the meantime, send me more songs if you want them included.    :wave

...AND if MK is in a mood to listen to his fans, at least he know what AMIT fans want to hear.

No need to limit yourselves, yet...  I will create the list, then will post the poll.  Please continue to suggest your faves.  No limit on suggestions)  ;)

Mark use to say he does not take request.

On the StP tour he said to the audience regularly something like:  we do take requests.  Just shout them out and I'll write them all down.  He also said:  one night someone shouted "play everything" - so we did! ;D

mmm...its like when he said on OES and GH tours during walk of life : "if you want we play all night, we'll play all night" (or something like that) but we all know it's not the case (although GH concerts were a bit longer)
