And also Walk of Sh~~e, Rudiger, Done with Bonaparte, Home Boy...

Done with Bonaparte is  in my opinion one of Knoplfler's best solo songs. The music is good but the lyrics are amazing. The live version in Cordoba 2010 is especially beautiful.
To me The Fish And The Bird has good lyrics in it and the music isn't too bad. Knopfler's singing is what ruins it 

My least favorite solo song is Coyote and least favorite DS song is Communique. I love the album though.

Yes, it's a lovely song, full of quiet gratitude, sincere love and tenderness. There is no trace of pretentiousness in it.
Such an apparent simplicity requires hard work to achieve it.

I don't particularly dislike any of Knopfler's songs, from his solo career. I'm not a fan of his Walk of Life style songs like Do America, and some of his songs can be a bit dull but thats all 

But for every bad song he writes he, writes another 10 great ones
