Sad that it's moved but at least we should be grateful in these times that it isn't closing down.  Indeed, it's moving to larger premises!

Am I wrong or, as I checked on the net, they have moved far far away from the city?

Looks like you're right - handy noticed that, they must have just moved. Shame - used to go there sometimes when I lived in London.

I realise that you AMIT-ers have a particular reason for regretting the loss of Angelucci's but, when I was young and outlets for coffee were much fewer, we went to the Algerian Coffee Stores, also in Soho [ http://www.algcoffee.co.uk/scripts/default.asp ] and that's still there.

I realise few of you will visit Carlisle, where we lived until fairly recently, but Watts was the place to go there [ http://www.johnwatt-online.co.uk/ ], very British, a bit cramped and sllightly twee and quaint perhaps but always a pleasure. Even a trip to the loo was fun, as you decended to the basement and passed by their stores and old equipment. And, on coffee roasting days, even a walk along the street outside was memorable

Why not visiting the studio where Dire Straits recorded their first demos in 1977? This is seen in John Illsley's documentary on Marks' guitars when both revisit the studio.

Don't forget Angelucci's and the Barocco Bar, both from Wild West End. Angelucci's has since moved from the West End though, to East Finchley.
