First of all, happy new year everyone. It's my first post this year.
Back to the track, on the second interview, DK fixed another piece in the puzzzle of how he ended out of the band. He wanted his songs to be recorded and played, didn't want to be always second to his brother. I can figure out the growing tension within the band.
But what kind of songs had he been writing at that time? Were they good enough to fit in a r&r band? I tend to think that yes, they could be suitable to DS.
In "The giver" booklet he stated thar "Southside tenements" was written at that time. Well, good enough for me. "What's the matter baby" it's a pretty respectable song, IMHO, regardless not knowing who write what parts...
But "Bernadette", well, i do not like. But it's in the same path of "Eastbound train", from the same era, isn't it?
