My 2nd show of the tour.

Different set list from Vancouver,  got So Far Away in the encore, which was nice.

But no Miss You Blues, or Red Bud Tree.

A bit disappointed he didnt play  "Seattle"   as it would have been fitting,
but maybe its too slow a song to fit in the set.

Seattle vocals are a bit more demanding, and so are the instrumentation and production. They would have to play it in a different key, in order to not make mistakes and well so differently that it would lose its charm.
Come on, it is not funny anymore.

Yes, I agree,  in the album form , "Seattle" would be hard to do in concert without some rearrangement.

Maybe it needs a duet with Emmy Lou Harris

Hey Fletch, hope you enjoy your USA visit. Take a lot of photos and keep a diary. It would be fascinating to hear your experiences! And maybe you will be inspired to write a song or two!
Come on, it is not funny anymore.

Yes, you are correct.
I double checked the setlist.
Miss You Blues was played in Seattle, not in Vancouver.

Mixing up my shows.

Thanks VG, we've just spent the last 3 days in Yellowstone Nt. Park, what a magnificent place! Roadtrippin our way south soon. I'd love Marks tour schedule, there would be so much to see and do in between shows.

Here's the Seattle Times Review  by Charles Cross
who is a big Springsteen fan too, and I've had pleasure of meeting a few times.
He is also wrote a book about Nirvana.

I am not sure I agree 100% with the review, but it's a good one none the less.

Oh man, I just spent some time reading Guys diaries, my family and I spent most of the day at Pikes Market and it looks like we stayed in a hotel a stones throw away on the Waterfront just next to he ferris wheel.

Guys pic of the fish market is spot on, there are so many tourists who just gawk at his giant fresh catches of the sea, it's an amazing place. Guy doesn't mention an amazing American banjo player who was playing clawhammer and singing trad songs right next to this market. Pikes Market is a cool place.

As for other cultural events on our holiday, we visited some outstanding natural places like Yellowstone, Zion Nat. Pk. and the Grand Canyon, but I was really impressed with our last day in LA which we spent at Venice Beach. Such a cool place with loads of freaks, skaters, bodybuilders and stoners... really a great place to hang out, drink beers and watch people.

Fletch,

I'm glad you and your family enjoyed your stay here in the US.  There are so many places to visit and see. My personal favorite is along California Coast.  Some days, I'll go along Seattle, Washington, and Oregon coastline.  CA is like heaven on earth, climate wise.  Hope AMIT fellows will come visit some days.  You can all be my guests. :)

But of course Sweetsurrender means litlle by little. 2 each time so that we can last all year round!  ;D

Really, thank you sweetsurrender.

But don't you think so many people will ruin this heaven?  ;)
Come on, it is not funny anymore.

We have visited the States quite a few times and I can't think of a holiday we haven't enjoyed there.  I'd love to say we've been all over but it is simply too vast  a country for almost anyone to say that.  There are huge tracts of the country we've never seen. Nevertheless, geographically speaking, we have travelled there quite widely and, on that basis, would endorse the comments above.
