Thanks for the videos Sweet Surrender.

I'm not going to complain about the setlists.

Having seen MK numerous times over the years,
when he changes the setlist with a few new songs and is playing songs from the new album I am happy.

While I love, Sultans, BIA, Tunnel of Love, Telegraph Road, R&J, I would rather hear a song that I have never heard before like KOG.

I also remember seeing numerous show on other tours, where the 2nd night was almost exactly the same as the first night,
including the jokes...

In agreement with you. I got LUCKY last night with "KOG" people were shouting out "R&J" "SOS" . Mark put a little twist to the normal run of the mill jokes last night.

Got a good respond from the crowds.

Thanks for all the videos sweetsurrender, they've been great to watch especially finding out what the new shows are like and which guitars are used for the new songs.

I have to confess that I always worry about what songs MK will choose from his records to be played, as he usually choose what I consider as the most boring ones less interestings (I will never forget choosing True Love and the Fish instead Let it all go / Punish the monkey / We cant get wild etc) and luckily, during the Get Lucky tour, the only 2 songs he played always were great (Border reiver and Piper), but usually his choices are the easiest "strange"

However, I admire people that are happy with anything that MK would play, really. Although I really enjoy their shows, I always get out thinking that he gave just the 60% of what he

You guys are really interesting. His form 1000 times better than KTGC and GL tour days. If you wanna sleep with what it is and stand prairie wedding and live monteleone, the fish and the bird, true love will never ....fade it's ok. He palys uptempo blues song with good musicianship and it's not good, he plays energetic what it is instead of dead walking what it is and again, it's not good. Some say he don't play his new albums, now he's got already 8-9 of them and again, it's not good. First shows are never the perfect ones and i think we all know that. Anyway if he don't play DWB and MYB this is a perfect list.

And for Soomlos if you read this thanks a million times mate :clap :thumbsup
I second your opinion Naif...if this weren't an 'abbreviated' set...complete with DS and MK classics thrown in it wouldn't warrant discussion. There are so many tremendous selections to choose from on "Privateering" as opposed to GL and in particular...KTGC...that to throw in the classics with them would make for a stellar show. I too would also like to thank Soomlos for a marvelous recording from Saskatoon..his seats must have been fantastic for that show! It is by far the best recording of the three.
Doctor parkinson declared Im not surprised to see you here
Youve got smokers cough from smoking, brewers droop from drinking beer
I dont know how you came to get the betty davis knees
But worst of all young man youve got industrial disease

For fans that see multiple shows, you can get a bit jaded and it sounds like you are complaining.

I've made that mistake in the past.

While we all love our hero MK, he does play better on some nights than others,
and setlists are never going to satisfy everyone.

I will say this, in the many Dire Straits and Mark Knopfler shows I have been to, he has never really disappointed me.

MK on a poor night is leaps above many musicians on a good night.

I do see the point though that he has a lot to live up to, which is himself ....
