For some reason, live versions seem to be far better than the studio cuts, with a few exceptions... a very few.
The above song sounds (even with poor sound) better than the studio one.

because MK and his band are full-blooded live musicians. the stage is their life.

there a lots of other bands and artists, that need the studio-technique to sound "good", but live there are weak.

The reviewer raises some interesting questions, especially about the "right" of perfomrers to present what they want to present as opposed to what the audience expect to hear.

I found the readers' comments interesting, too, but most would go down less well in this forum, I would think.

In terms of song choices, I guess most Dylan fans would have been delighted if Dylan had played a bunch of new songs. So Mark didn't play any DS songs. Maybe not being limited by audience expectations is something that he has gained from touring with Bob.
