Sorry, do we know this already? John McCusker tweeted this yesterday:

Finishing mixing @heiditalbot record 'Angels Without Wings' - Mark Knopfler, Jerry Douglas

and

Also featuring King Creosote, @IAMKP Michael McGoldrick, Tim O'brien, Dirk Powell

Anyone knows more about it?

Nothing in her website. She mentions "angles without wings" as her forthcoming album, with "stelar special guests", nominates some, but no MK...

Initially, I intended to buy the album and as I already liked Heidi singing "Bedlam Boys" on a live album, I thought this would appeal to me too, but after hearing a few tracks, her voice just irritated me.  I find it just too high and rather piercing for my taste.   I think the songs are very nice though and I agree I can't hear MK's guitar anywhere.   :-\

I agree it's really too high. Emmylou Harris style.  ::)
Clearly not an album for many of us.
It doesn't matter, we'll have some more very soon.   ;D
And it's good to see they all have fun playing together.

Together is not what I should say...

It looks pretty clear, by the McCusker comments, that most of the record was recorded by pieces, MK recorded his part, Jerry Douglas his parts, if you remember during the Dylan 2012 tour, Richard Bennett, Michael McGoldrick and Guy recorded some parts in a laptop in the hotel room. Then McCusker compiled everything and mixed, so they didnt see each other for the record...

Not my ideal of how to make a colaboration, but MK is used to that, he did his parts for the Tony Joe White, B.B King, Sonny Landreth, America and many more recording his overdubbs in London and send them to the producers so they can mix it.

I agree too, but you're wrong about the Tony Joe White collaboration.
I remember it was explained on MKnews : Mark and Tony played the tune on acoustics guitars first, in the garden, to get the mood, and then they recorded the song playing together in the studio.

It was the case for John Fogerty's album though : Mark recorded his part "alone" and sent his overdubb

Seems to be a bit typical of Marks' recent collaborative work;  totally indistinguishable. :disbelief

In 2006, Tony released the album Uncovered. About his collaboration with Mark Knopfler on this album, White recalls a night when "I built a big fire outside. [Mark and I] had steaks and cold beer, and we took the guitars out by the fire, and I wish it had been recorded." What they recorded instead was "Not One Bad Thought".

I don't know which songs you have heard, but here is four of them. Can't hear Mark, though:

Wasn't Mark supposed to have the backing vocals on Celtic Sea on Bap's record too? It's not there...
It's the end of a perfect day..,.
