Looks like more than one episode, I wonder if John is presenting the whole series? Who else could be in the series talking about their guitars? Clapton? maybe, but he keeps selling his guitars, David Gilmour? maybe, he has lot's of famous guitars, Mike Oldfield? wishful thinking on my part maybe, but he does own lot's of lovely guitars.
Knopfler, Oldfield and Gilmour is all the guitar I need.

;D  I was wrong, Having checked the programme guides I realise that I do have Sky Arts 1 in my Virginmedia cable package  :lol
Now to put a note on the calendar!  (10pm 16th Oct).

I suspect that Mark has so many guitars that you could spend one minute on each and still not get through them all !

When you point your finger 'cause your plan fell through you've got 3 more fingers pointing back at you.

Channel 281 on Virgin isn't it?  Radio Times comes in handy! ;)

WOW can't wait for that!
I see the new Pensa gets an airing and also great to see the Montleone being made and then literally being played! Master to Master comes to mind there. I see also a MK Signature strat in there too (I am biased!)
Great shot of Mark with guitar and amp playing at British Grove with John watching on!

Will be setting 'record' for this not to be missed programme!!

It's not the Isabella that you see get played by MK in the preview of Guitar Stories.

It's called Spring and is one of the Four Seasons-series from Monteleone.

This website (which is a preview of a book) contains some nice photos of both the Isabella and Spring guitars - http://archtopguitars.info

edit: I stand corrected, the Monteleone Isabella may well as be one of the featured guitars...

yes very promising, but shame he don't own the first maple red strat or the sunburst schecter anymore...

http://www.mk-guitar.com/mark-knopfler-gear-database/schecter-dream-machine-sunburst-1980-the-replacement/

Very true.  He and Guy keep saying you get a better tone from an older guitar, yet his workhorse now is his new signature Strat. ???  I'm not fond of the sound from that personally compared to his older Strats, nor the shiny look it's got.

Also, these Monteleone guitars look alright (a little over-elaborate for my taste), but they're just ornaments really;  never to be taken on tour or really properly used.
