Actually, while Iove the physical cds..maybe I'd be more happy with just downloading for my iPod. I don't know. So I'll treat with care this Privateering cd...

Despite having terabytes of music in my PC, I just can't help having the proper cd,specially when it's a MK's.

Okay, US fan here, and I just need to vent a bit.
I pre-ordered the deluxe Privateering the first morning it was available.
Then they said they were having supplier troubles, and delivery of Privateering would be delayed until further notice.
Then I was shocked when a month later, they said the US couldn't buy Privateering.
But I was assured in two emails form MK.com that I would get my pre-ordered deluxe pack by the end of September, or earlier.
It's the end of September, and I still don't have it.

I've been an MK nut for 34 years, but this is getting really frustrating.
It started last year when North Americans couldn't buy the Simfy Euro concerts, but everyone else could. Then they said there'd be no North American 2013 tour -- all we get is half a concert this year on the BD tour. Then they said the US can't buy Privateering. Then they said my pre-ordered copy would be honored, but I still don't have it, and they've had my money for two months.
I just have to hope they honor my tickets for the MK/BD concert next month.

To say nothing about being excluded from the secret show contests, though I do kinda understand that one. Maybe MK likes our blues but, like a lot of the rest of the world, doesn't like us! :'(

And now I have to worry about whether there will really be concert tickets waiting for me on concert day or not?

The exact same thing happened to me, knopfling, except mine arrived a couple days ago, so there is hope.  I'm most upset about being excluded from the tour next year.  I'm thinking about getting a life and moving on..... Being a fan is too painful  :-\

Joan, they said they'd send them out in the order received, and I ordered as early as I could, so I don't understand the holdup on mine. Especially when they said everyone should get them before the end of the month.
Anyway, it just adds to a lot of frustration over the doings of the past year.

Hop, I know it's based in Toronto. They had trouble getting the deluxe package from the supplier but sent me an email weeks ago saying they had them and were starting to send them out in order. It really shouldn't take more than a week to get here from Toronto.

Jbaent, if I understand the situation correctly, I don't think anybody in the US can order them anymore because they're not selling to the US because of the Warner Bros. dispute, so I don't think Amazon could help.

Knopfling, I hope it will show up in your mailbox  Monday.  I'd be quite mad by now.   >:(  Now, all this talks about frustrations made me really worried about picking up my tickets for the concert in 3 weeks.  I have this fear that my tix is not there. So, I'm gonna bring my receipt, ID and all.

My biggest disappointment /anger is not seeing the tour in NA for 2013. >:(  I still couldn't bring myself to accept that we won't see MK in the US. How could they do this to us?  ???  Joan, you're right , it's sooooo painful. :disbelief

Hey all, I am purchasing a digital copy of Privateering because that seems to be the only way I can obtain it on the other side of the pond. However, MK site doesn't provide a digital copy of the liner notes, etc., only the cover! :'(  Does anyone have a scan of it that they've be willing to share with a kindred knopflerite? In the past I received get a free copy when purchasing 2+ tickets but not this time, strangely enough... ???
