He don't play this classics for his beloved, die-hard fans but he can play for some rich business man. I'm disappointed :disbelief

Watching the sax on this video and it's clear to see it's not Chris! ;)  It must be Nigel Hitch so it makes me wonder if they've been rehearsing with him with the intention of touring which may lead into next year too.  I think that would be great news;  I'd love to hear the sax back again.

I would also love the hear sax again; I'm quite surprised that there was sax actually, I thought Mark was done with it. There was sax only in the 2002 Charity Concerts, and I guess this was more to give his -then- friend Chris White something to do than for real need; now that Chris has committed the crime to be a member of "The Straits", why take another sax player ?

Even stranger - on the video we see the say player... on MFN. I'm not aware of any version of MFN featuring sax, it just does not fit anyway. We can see him, but we can't hear him at all.... don't quite understand.

When Mark used Chris White in 2002, it was mainly for the sax solo in R&J, in Going Home, a bit in WAM, and, of course, to play Your Latest Trick, which is impossible to play without a sax. I'm quite curious what the sax player did on that show...

Any more info ? any set list ?

I can't give you more news on this, but obviously they had a PR event two years ago at BG Studios:

The sax wouldn't be in MFN;  it was just a video montage.  They had clips of Mark with his Telecaster too all played to the background of MFN.

Maybe Mark just got on really well with Nigel and it would help them perform some new songs (e.g. Radio City) as well as breathe some life into old ones.

Jesus, so much hectic in the holy halls....  :o, can't imagine it that busy when Mark records there - all folks have to whisper and sneak then probably...

About the sax on MfN, I am sure if it was only cut that way, maybe the picture and sound footage was not synchronized...

Have to watch it again...

Pottel will freak out when he hears what track they played in that YouTube clip...  8)

Not really :) the Twisting by the pool EP was a joke, as Mark said himself. Can't understand why TYL made it to the setlist up to the OES tour. It certainly has its moments (cf. Hal Lindes on guitar in Alchemy) and it is quite joyful, but it does not fit with the rest...

Well, they probably  had to employ Chris White during the break AFTER Romeo, The Bug,  Private Investigations, Sultans of Swing and On Every Street or Your Latest Trick and BEFORE Telegraph Road and Solid Rock....  :disbelief

 ;)

Actually I thought it rocked along quite well - far superior to the studio version.  It was really just Marks tribute to Chuck Berry though, wasn't it.  Also, I love Badges, Posters...  Great song! ;D
