Hm, I have the RPD bonus CD, too but I think I did never listen to it in fact.... will give it a try....  ;D

about bonus discs:

I burned me a copy of Privateering Disc 2 and put also all 4 bonus tracks on it - now, if i decide to listen to the CD properly and not mp3 via stick or mp3 player, I don't take the original CD but the copy which I store now in my Deluxe Edition... what struck me was the fact that after burning all 24 tracks, there were still 15 minutes possible playing time wasted on the blank CD...  :disbelief

Check out Guy's Facebook Thread - the guys seem to have been asked to perform at the re-branded Range Rover launch - there are some questions asked about setlists etc in the forum....

There is a beautiful version of BIA from Toronto on the RPD bonus disc - it's one of my favourites.

btw  I had the thought of putting the four bonus songs on disc 2 - you have reminded me to get on with it!    ;)

I really doubt that STP from 2001 could sound any better than later versions. Mark couldn't sing right then, and the 2010 versions were much better.
I stopped caring about Brothers In Arms somewhere after 2005... If it was not so late in the set always, it would be a perfect occasion for a pee break..  ;D

"Funerals" ?   You mean you're having more than one?   :o

STP was magic in 2001;  great outro solo's by Mark and that white Strat sounded lovely.  His vocal was great too; nice, rough and unmistakable unlike today where it's unremarkable.  I miss those days.

In french the word in used in its plural form so should I correct it to "my funeral" ?

The only sad thing about it is although I will probably be present at it and in good place to, I guess I won't be able to listen and enjoy it that time. Paradoxal systeme.
Hopefully everybody else will, fully daft persons excepted.

Hah sry I just realized that topic is Privateering-song related  :-[

Hm, well that exclude Border Reiver doesn't it?

2 be honest, I dunno...CBC is the only one with that kind of energy but maybe way to straight forward...maybe Got To Have Something...but I'm afraid my honest answer is the none. Album is fantastic but does not have openers as I would love to hear  :-\

Mark did open neither STP, SL and KTGK tour with song from the related album.

Although officially to promote the latest album (but actualy now with very little input from the record company), this sound just as an excuse to go on the road and play whatever he want to.

"Second opening" night of the KTGC tour even featured  twice more "new played" songs from TRP than KTGC itself! (7. Hill Farmer's Blues -  10. Marbletown -  11. Daddy's Gone to Knoxville - 12. Devil Baby)

It was SO wonderful and such a great surprise to hear those songs from RPD and since then two of those songs have become long-term favourites, of course!    I still live in hope of hearing Fare Thee Well and You Don't Know You're Born from that album - maybe 2013!    :)

You Don't Know You're Born would merge perfectly into Seattle because they have virtually the same guitar riff, so it may be a possibility.

In fact, even more from TRD: (2. Why Aye Man - 7. Hill Farmer's Blues -  10. Marbletown -  11. Daddy's Gone to Knoxville - 12. Devil Baby)

Anyway, I would like to have CBC as the opener, and to hear much more than 2 new songs...
