Simfy started recording at the first show at the RAH, but almost all of the UK shows earlier than the RAH were mixed and released by Simfy (not all of them but almost)

All but one, the opening night in Belfast. According to Poupystar who attended it, Mark was on fire.

The opening night was Dublin, I was there and it wasn't recorded, I'm sad to say, because it was a fabulous show!  Belfast wasn't recorded either!

My bad yes Dublin. And I am not sure about Belfast being released. Seem not
All show prior to the RAH were not recorded by Simfy but are Knopfler's own recordings.
We got only one RAH show due to Simfy unable to reach an agreement with the RAH regarding the recording fees asked.

I'm not surprised MK was embarrassed when he listened to TR, it's been crap for a while now, with all the folky stuff and no "rolling river" solo.

Hopefully it will be ditched and Speedway can take its place as the last track before the BIA/SFA encores, a la 2006. I'd rather have four other songs in its place, it is an indulgence in a two hour show.

Speedway will never be the same without Danny, so I prefer some other songs as an encore. SFA can be skipped too imo

STP can be skipped for me too.  It's not the same without Matt.  Not the same interaction!

Speedway is really my live favourite, it would be sad without it. I even got used to the flute... Still like the RLRR version best but recent versions were also fantastic.
As for TR, can we be a bit more positive ? Instead these "it has been crap latetly, so let's drop it", could we move on to "it was a bit slow lately although played with emotion, hopefully in 2003 the fast 2005 pace will return since Mark is on fire now ?" Same for WII that was played faster in 2011...

Herlock - I still love TR and especially a lot of the ones from 2010.   It is one of the highlights of the show for me.   It's certainly not crap!

RLRR = Real Live Roadrunning = the lovely DVD/CD combo of the 2006 small tour that MK did with Emmylou Harris. It is the only live product we have got for MK solo (more a collaboration actually), together with the 1996 "A night in London". It is unfortunately more focused on the ATTR album that on MK solo stuff; still, it includes a killer version of Speedway, nice versions of SFA and Why Worry, and gems from the ATTR album, like "I dug up a diamond" and the title track.  Emmy's voice adds a lot to the songs (she should come back !). So, it is a real gem :) although no substitute for a proper MK solo concert :(

I'd prefer R&J to be removed from the setlist than TR !

At the moment MK plays only five of the DS songs in concert these days and of these five I would choose to leave out SFA and BIA next time.   SOS, R&J and TR can stay!  :)

SoS, TR and BIA are masterpieces that should stay.
R&J and SFA are just nice overplayed songs that can go.

R&J remains Mark's own favourite song so almost no chance he drops that one.
