The impression I got from the MK.com staff was that all codes "competed equally". It was just a matter of having one or not, in spite of where it came from.

I was quite surprised, and quite pleased, that the pre-sale tickets from MK.com for UK customers includeded a code for a free standard copy of 'Privateering.' I thought it was going to be a digital download, but it is actually the double-CD. One for the car at the very least.

Come again Adz, cause I didn't quite catch this one. You bought an edition and then registered on MK.com and bought tickets and they gave away a coupon that had a code and you went where to get your free CD?  ;D

Yes, it does sound all confused and convoluted, but thank you 35Strats for explaining! I've been a member of MK.com for a long time now, but have never seen this kind of offer before.

My sister pre-ordered the deluxe version for me as a late birthday present, and my girlfriend's getting me the box set for Christmas, so all I've done is order tickets off of MK.com this time around.

Having to buy several versions of the same album, to get all the tracks, is quite a sting, though.

Does the presale code need to be used with the same email address they were sent?

Just saw the MK is coming as close as Bulgaria, but not Greece. Why? I didn't get any code, by the way. Why?
Come on, it is not funny anymore.

Crisis maybe, afraid not to sell enought tickets maybe.

Code is only for certain countries and came with ordering a CD at mk.com, bol.com (netherlands) amazon.de (germany) and some more.

Yes Ingrid, I have thought of those, but what if I could  attend a show abroad by using my children's savings for their college...
Some flights to London are cheaper than going to Thessaloniki or Bulgaria.

It was a double joke Ingrid.  ;D
Of course reality is harsh enough.  You can't possible save any money nowadays. Especially if you are out of work. And then it is the high cost of life, taxes, and special contributions for the government. Savings? I was lucky enough to sell some collections of mine to buy the new album (which by the way, I still wait for). Study money? You have to eat to reach a certain age and go to college.

But still I find it quite disturbing that I am not even given the chance or choice. Lesson learned. Won't be burnt again.

I know dear, therefor this  :P

But I really think that's the reason they don't do Greece now. And I hope Greece will do better in a few years.

Syria, Armenia, Iraq, Iran, Cyprus, Georgia, Bulgaria.  ;D
Fingers crossed. Only problem with booking, has to do with currency, if you catch my drift.

it was clearly stated that the planning/announcing is not over yet. switzerland is still missing, so is dublin, and so is greece. i am sure, looking at the rest of the tour, that Athens should be in it, DESPITE the crisis. it is not like all bands have stopped coming (or have they?)
any Knopfler, Floyd or Dylan will do....

Apart from Red hot chili peppers that were booked a year ago, this years' concert calendar was rather poor. I find it strange because I have heard of special concerts in Dubai, which is far away, extremely hot and with limited site seeing, when Greece certainly has an advantage. But there is a lack of trust and a plethora of negative statements to match. Anyway, the Athens airport taxes are rather enormous, thanks to the company that runs it, but If Athens holds a concert I would really be happy to meet any of you coming and help you around the city!
