I got a somewhat different answer of the presales as to one with code should be better. Quite the opposite.
Cheers Peter

But in order to use the code you had to register for MK.com and become a member...

So either way, everyone who bought the presales were MK.com members automatically. What became the difference was the code.

And as MK.com told me

" I can confirm that your promo code was verified and you will be receiving priority seating"

I got mine today, together with the shipping mail for my Deluxe box. It was scheduled for Monday, but now the news says it will arrive tomorrow!

I was quite surprised, and quite pleased, that the pre-sale tickets from MK.com for UK customers includeded a code for a free standard copy of 'Privateering.' I thought it was going to be a digital download, but it is actually the double-CD. One for the car at the very least.

Come again Adz, cause I didn't quite catch this one. You bought an edition and then registered on MK.com and bought tickets and they gave away a coupon that had a code and you went where to get your free CD?  ;D
Come on, it is not funny anymore.

When you book your concert seats through MK.com, if you book 2 seats you get a promo code for a free copy of the basic 2 CD version of Privateering. (UK only)  Seems a bit superfluous if you have just bought the deluxe or super deluxe version -  I didn't realise that you got a promo code if you bought the album though MK.com that could get you "even better" seats in the presale until it was too late. It's all just cynical marketing to get you to buy everything through MK.com and I'd like to think that MK was not aware of this, but who knows. It's the same situation with the "extra tracks" that we had with Get Lucky- some will only be available on-line. If you buy the deluxe or super deluxe CD/Vinyl packages, you should get ALL the music  . >:(  Rant over.   :disbelief

I cant see the point of receiving a free cd copy when purchasing two tickets... There will be cases when people buying tickets dont have the cd, but I bet it wont be very few...

So, pre-sale for Bremen starts in 45 minutes - and I really don't know what to do... Should I use my amazon precode or not?? Some says it gets better seats, some says, without the seats are the same.

However, it will take some additional time to fill in the code so the advantage might be compensated by that...

decisions, decisions.....

Any suggestions very welcome...

I see there an advantage using the code ... amazon(Germany) writes you will get the tickets as E-Tickets per eMail to your registered address. So you would have your tickets in hand and there would be no pick-up at the venue .... if we can trust amazon ::)

I read it properly a minute ago (for the first time... ) and now I see it just as a another way of getting new members for mk.com... I also wondered about the e-ticket thing, but that  might be another describtion of what we are used to for years - getting a confirmation mail and then have to wait for the exact seats.... So I guess it is really only interesting for people who buy at amazon and are not yet mk.com members... and to make sure the membership is coming via the amazon shop, they have to give in this code... whereas the advantage, priority seats, should be the same for ALL mk.com members....

In my book it's simple:

a) You have to be a MK.com member to get presale tickets (included those who even register today!)

b) So you have the code

c) What's the difference between an MK.com member with code / an MK.com member without one?

d) The code!

Conclusion: MK.com staff told me I have got priority seating over those who didn't have a code.

I didn't use it anyway.
The question was more: Are amazon.de quotes "worth more" than the usual mk.com membership, means, would you have access to BETTER places when using the amazon.de code compared to "just" being a normal mk.com-member for years...

However, it is lapsed now..
