UPDATE ON HOTELINFO LONDON:
The Copthorne Tara Hotel didn't work out proper. I called them twice to give more info and to tell them what's exactly the meaning of my request. They first started to ask how many room I was willing to book
How the heck do I know.
I told them it's common in Holland to have a kind of congres-rate for certain nights, which can be booked during a certain time. Well they got it ..... and offered not what we wanted:
Single room 115 pounds per night, double room 125 pounds per night (breakfast included, I asked for excluded.. sigh)
Besides that if I book at
their site for 3 nights check in sunday 26th it will cost me 265,50 pounds for 3 nights (=88,50 per night). So I expected a flat rate between 75 and 80 pounds without breakfast.
Now I am in contact with Mercure Kensington. Called them 10 minutes ago, they ask for another 24 hours, because they should have send me a reply which I never got, but the girl at the desk couldn't see the reply, so she will ask her superviser again.
We really have to be patient guys. It seems the hotels in the Netherlands are more cooperative and understanding for these kind of questions. I do some congresses a year and I always get a hoteloption. They don't know how many people will stay for how many nights, but most of the times they give a good rate for such things.
Hope to be back to you soon!
If you know other hotels which are not too expensive and have enough rooms mail me the details so I can call them as well.
