I was in love with her voice, kept me going through the army days, together with Radiohead the bends (issued just a year before) and Surfer rosa/come on Pilgrim by the Pixies. I have all their records and many 12'' maxi singles up to Third, including the live Roseland NYC. And a Beth Gibbons with Rusty man album. What do you mean? Something exquisite that I have missed?
I never had the time to dig any deeper. I have to confess that most of the times  too much official and unofficial information and videos spoil it for me. Would you believe that I avoid searching for info/gossip for my favourite groups? I like reading biographies but as literature, and I prefer artists that are dead or not to attached to their music.  I haven't seen and I don't miss video clips, because most of them spoil it completely for me?
Come on, it is not funny anymore.

Would like to hear some feedback on my orbital posts. Exactly as it is so different,...

Will listen to them tomorrow, after the kids are off to school.
Archive are an ever-changing  band with  only two members from the original group 17 years ago. They have issued many albums from Trip-hop to Pink Floyd sound!

but I would certainly suggest listening to the long version.

and here some more of the well known ones.

Enjoy!

I liked Dwr Budr, like a drone from a Durutti Column's album but with no guitars. (Have you heard of Durutti Column?)
I didn't like the Out there somewhere. Too repetitive and monotonous. If it was 5 minutes it would be fine. The good ideas were running low on this one.

I don't know if you had time to check out the Archive tracks I have posted earlier, but this is a more recent song that you might also like.

And I will miss being a "Lady writer"  ;D
