so there only one thing to do : go to America and do an Isaac on the Bob Dylan tour.

The end of the world will start in a Dylan show  :o

You convinced me : I won't go to any Dylan show. I don't wanna be involved in the end of the world.

Hello Everyone,

I'm an MK fan since I was 13 yeas old and I've been to concerts of DS, MK and NHB.
So when I heard that Belgian Radio 1 had a contest for the London show of sept 25th I entered the competition with an sms telling that the totally mixed up song they played was "Down to The Waterline".
The next day Radio 1 called me to say I was the first one with the right answer !! :)
Also that day a second player was selected with another mixed up song (Heavy Fuel) and we both played in the final round last friday.
The game was a combination of Sea Battle (referring to Privateering) and questions about MK/DS.
The questions were a peace of cake, similar to the ones in Germany (see previous post), so it all depended on a lot of luck while choosing the correct box in the Sea Battle diagram after each correct answer.
We both had our answers correct and after the eight (!) question, my opponent 'got lucky' and won the trip to the concert with a stay in a hotel....
I got the Privateering 2CD as consolation prize.
I was so close to a dream come true !! :'(
But I'll double enjoy the Antwerp concert on May 12th next year, oh yeah !!
Tickets allready hanging on the wall, so see you then !
If she was an Ace and I was just a Jack, and the cards were never seen, we could have been King and Queen.

Oh, what a pity. But nice if the winner was however Dire Straits fan!

2 guys were chosen and had to answer five " very difficult" questions about DS/MK...

Questions were:

Who is singing in the background of Money For Nothing, Elton John, Sting, bla bla bla
What was the most successful album from Dire Straits?
What is the name of Mark's brother?
What was the name of the first hit of Dire Straits - King of Swing, Sultans of Swing, Swing of Blablabla
Which song of Mark Knopfler is named after a famous love couple?
Is it true that there is a dinosaur named after Mk, what do you think??
What did Mark study when he was young - journalism or architecture...

First guy knew exactly ONE answer, Sultans of Swing, the other one had to answer only two other questions, and I was bittlery laughing about how "difficult" it had turned out to be and what kind of fan now will travel to London and will be one of the chosen 100...  :disbelief

LE

I have to confess that it took me over 12 hours to get answer to that one : Which song of Mark Knopfler is named after a famous love couple?

Maybe because Mark has probably not played it for too long  ;D

I think I would struggle the same if I was asked which song was about a famous boxer. Or Napoleon. Or Guitar George.
 ;D
The way he sings and plays guitar
            Still brings me to tears

And my current status here did not even help to get it immediately...
